Sometimes, for a variety of reasons your customers will want to change their Plex email or switch which account they use with your Plex shares. To accomplish this, it is best to create a new account with the new email/username and merge the data. To accomplish this, follow these steps:

  •  Have the customer register the new email on https://plex.tv
  • Manually invite the customer to the server their previous account used
  • Delete all payments associated with the new account
  • Use the merge feature on the Users panel to merge the old account into the new account. This will copy all the data from the old account to the new account and delete the old account
